PirloKaka

Much lauded by the Faculty; the MLS’s appeal continues to grow at a continued pace. With more and more of the worlds best joining an already impressive array of stars, the league is going from strength to strength. Last weekend saw Andrea Pirlo’s New York City FC clash with Orlando City in front of a Yankee Stadium crowd of just over 32,000. Those that made the journey to the Bronx were well rewarded, with the two sides playing out an entertaining game, with the hosts the eventual winners 5-3.

For fans of the mercurial Italian this was a performance for the ages, a brief second half cameo that set the game alight. The diminutive midfielder easing into what could aptly be described as the quarter back role, with the assured passing that many have become well accustomed to down the years.

With a league seemingly on the rise, where will it end for the MLS?
